How to Convert Text to Outlines
When using Illustrator or other graphic programs, it is important to convert your text to outlines before sending the file. This step ensures that your font remains unchanged, allowing us to preserve your artwork exactly as you submit it.
To convert text to outlines in Illustrator:
Alternatively, you can select the artwork and press Ctrl + Shift + O. Save the file and send it to us.
Vector vs. Raster
Raster files consist of pixels and are often referred to as bitmaps. In contrast, vector files use coordinates to define shapes through points and lines, ensuring high image quality at any scale.
If your Artwork is FULL COLOR:
Your file should be at least 300dpi or in vector format. If
your image is below 300dpi, do not simply increase the resolution, as this will
cause blurriness and pixelation. For optimal print quality, full-color artwork
should be 300dpi or higher at its final print size.
Don’t pull artwork off the internet because….
Images from websites are usually 72dpi, which is too low for printing.
Additionally, web images may have copyright restrictions, so we do not
recommend using them in your artwork. The only exception is if the image was
purchased from a stock photo website at a high resolution.
